I'm not sure. Probably more than $345. I'm leaning more towards a trade for a touch.

Agreed.
When working with multiple formats, it's advisable to conform everything to one codec. If I were you, I'd transcode everything to the lowest denominator (in your case, standard-def at 4:3 or 16:9 aspect, depending on your delivery needs) and use a good intermediate codec like ProRes 422.
Doing that would eliminate the need to render the timeline constantly and deal with frame scaling from multiple formats of video sitting in the same sequence.

And could this story be the inspiration for a whole series of chicken slasher films?
Ever seen Thankskilling? It's pretty terrible, but it's on netflix streaming.

Its now 9.50 and the queue is forming well infront of the Apple store, touchwood. I have heard rumours abound that white models are limited and iPad stock isn't as many here as the bigger london stores, so if your planning to be a late comer cancelled your meetings, leave work early or just cry off ill, because your going to be waiting in line a long time and your going to be very angry if stock has gone. people started turning up near 6.30am and the line is getting bigger.

Lol that's what I ment... I'm a drummer so NAMM just came out accidentally.
Of course I don't expect any news from you guys, just a better video and highlights from Apple rather then the bloggers there (no offense to bloggers thanks for getting the info up).
I want it day 1 mainly to learn it as fast as possible and see how FCX 64bit works on my Mac Pro, since I have been limited to Adobe and handbreak at the moment. I understand why people will wait, let's hope there's not many bugs to fix.
I understand not wanting competitors to see the product. I don't need the whole write up just a bit more of what's to come. The release is so close and I'm sure adobe and avid saw plenty of FCX so a little teaser trailer would be cool. I'm just excited to see how this program will work, it should be interesting. Let's hope it rocks!

That iMac model is perfect for your needs. Its specs out of the box will fulfill all of your needs using aperture, lightroom and similar apps. When you evolve to advanced photo editing at the photoshop level, with large RAW FILES, and bulk processing, you and your mac will apprecite a ram upgrade to 8-16 gigs. My 2009 27" i5 just literally dropped dead after 14 months if 10/4 use in my office, so I'm replacing it with that exact model. Most bang for the buck. Excellent resale.

Posting this from my new 27" iMac, purchased from Best Buy!
I got the lower base 27" model for $1615 + tax, so I'm pretty happy. The $85 I saved will pay for an extra 8GB of RAM :) Going to have some dev VMs running on this sucker with no problems.

I had an iPad (1st gen) and liked it to an extent. I "need" a computer with me at all times, and the iPad just didn't cut it for me. I gave that to my dad and got an 11" MBA with 4GB, and fell in love. I no longer have to carry the 15 MBP around with me, and the air is such a nice weight and size, and packs the same punch as it's bigger brother the pro with certain obvious limitations. I would go ahead and get a $25 USB DVD burner from newegg, and consider using USB drives or cloud storage as you mentioned. as far as iwork/office goes, if you are making these presentations and not distributing it to others, iwork would be fine. If others are giving you powerpoints and you are displaying them, you might want to get office to ensure compatibility.

Hey guys I'm new to this jailbreaking thing and had question and I hope one of you iPhone wizards can help me out. I was wondering if I am running on 3.1.3 firmware right now(my iPhone is currently jailbroken) if I were to update my firmware would I lose the jailbreak?? Would it unjailbreak my phone with a firmware update? I really don't want to try and re jailbreak it, will I have to or would the iPhone still remain jailbroken even if I update?? Help would be much appreciated guys!! Thank you in advance
I don't understand why people wait so long to update... like if you have a 3gs there was no reason not to upgrade to 4.0 when it was a website based jailbreak.. your missing out on so many features fixes and upgrades.. I just dont get it

Yes, I did. But I listed the item as "as-is" with no returns. Is there any way the buyer can get around this?
I wouldn't think so because he accepted the terms of the deal when he bid. It's a legal contract, but call eBay to find out for sure.

I love them both.. i get hiped up 2 wweeks before macworld and just go nuts and just sit on the computer and get all the information and rumors about them i love it!!!:apple::apple:
I'm quite lucky because I'm normally in university til 6PM (UK time), and MacWorld is 5PM (UK time), but this week, I finish at 4PM so I will be glued to my computer for the updates via here, and then go out for dinner, and then when I come back, the keynote video should be available on Apple.com
I wonder if we're finishing early because my lecturer is as excited as we are... maybe he's a secret Mac fan

You would have to import the CDs again on the other computer, or you could use software to extract the music from the iPod. If you have the CDs, I'd just import them on the other computer when you get it.

I guess I meant to say that "Apple Software" shouldn't be the *only* category something, say iTunes, should be in.
[[Category: Audio]]
[[Category: Apple Software]]
that's just fine with me. I'm merely trying to avoid requiring that a new user know that "GarageBand" is Apple software, when all he may be interested in is some new Audio app to play around with.

I use the mobile version of the Mac Rumors forums when Im away from my computer. In doing this I have discovered a slightly annoying bug. When replying to a new thread on the mobile forums it does not create a subscription that is viewable within my control panel on the 'full' site.
Am i doing something wrong? Or is this a known bug?

Problem is the fans on this model are on the base, try keeping it off the floor
This happens on my MBP too with little else running. Skype really is probably the problem.

I'd take a P&S if you don't have a good camera on your phone. We went to Disney World in September and used my iPhone 4 FAR more than even our Canon P&S because I could snap photos and video and immediately upload them to Facebook and email them to family that wasn't with us. They loved getting shots from us on the go and I liked not having to do that stuff later when I was exhausted.
Also, I highly recommend taking at least one backpack to put sunscreen, water and snacks in. Disney World does allow food to be taken in now so I also recommend taking lunch some days as eating there every day is expensive.
Have fun!
