If individual have US degree (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) along with B. SC in Microbiology from Indian, 1 yr Medical Lab Technician Course and 18 months Lab Assistance experience. Individual is on H4 visa, based on above qualification would student eligible for H1B visa? Person does not have SSN so do not qualify to get RN license in CA state. Any useful response will be kindly appreciated.

As long as the water is all of the same temp and salinity there isn't any distortion because of water movement. Distortion does occur when you get mixing of water that has different density. Scuba diving you see that where you pass through layers of water on the way down. The layers can be either different temerature or different salinity. When you get that it looks like heat waves on a hot highway in the distance.
I have used the pentax optio under water a bit. It works well as a point and shoot but not much more than that. I wouldn't take it more than a few feet down. I don't think it is rated for very deep.

Hi,
My PERM got denied next day after filing 7th year H1B extension, Is my H1 will approve?
extension filied on Premium processing. what are the chance me to continue on H1 and green card process.
PERM filied: 12/10/2008
Audit: 12/19/2009
H1B ending: 02/19/2011
H1B filied for 7th year extn: 01/18/2011
PERM denied: 01/20/2011
Please let me know if know such issues...

I was on H1B and was laid off last Thursday:(
Now I am in the process of changing my status to H4 (my husband is on h1B), I heard the process takes 3-6 months. My questions hopefully someone here knows?
1. Will I be able to travel overseas back home during this 3-6 months of waiting period?
2. Can I apply for COS here in the U.S. and then go back soon afterwards and reapply H4 from the U.S. Consulate overseas when the COS to H4 is still pending here in the U.S?
3. We don't plan to stay in our current address for more than 3 months now, can I use my friend's address on the form I-539 so when the COS is approved the notice can be mailed to my friend's home? Would it cause issues when INS notice that my address on Form I-539 is different from my previous on file?

I found that there are 24 states under compact member, some does not requires SSN to get RN license so there are good states to get license and practices. *https://www.ncsbn.org/158.htm *However you still get stuck when it comes to sponsorship.

My H1 expired and the extension is in process. But they did not file for H4 extension. I was told by my employer that she can get a visa stamp by presenting my H1 paper at the consulate. Is this true ? If so, what is the significance of H4 approval notice ?
There are two scenarios to this
Scenario one
h1 applicant is in US h4 applicant is in US
In this case the employer must file H1 exentsion and as well as I 539(application to extent/change nonimmigrnat status).
This is because the 1-94 for the H4 applicant must be extended.
Remember I 94 deciedes the status period,so the old I 94 of H4 needs to be extended for the period of H1 extension.
Scenario Two.

in this case the employer just files for h1 extension and not for I 539 because the dependent of h1 is not in status since dependent is out of the country(as h4 applicant submitted the I 94 at airport while leaving).

It has no effect on a future Citizenship application. Remember it is a payment against unemployment insurance which is paid by your previous employer/s.
As such it is not a burden on the state.

I have a similar timeline - applied for LC in February 2002, got approval in December 2003, filed I-140 in February 2004, I-485 in March 2004. Currently filing for my fifth EAD! The USCIS not only tortures the whole family (it's a common practice that name check is pending only for primary applicant) but makes us to pay for the wait! My son was born around the time we filed for adjustment of status, he will go to school soon but we are still not sure whether we will be allowed to stay. We cannot plan ahead and open education funds for our children. My wife cannot go to college, as she is not eligible for in-state tuition discount. Needless to say, I am forced to sacrifice my career as the whole thing is dragging for 5+ years and I have to work at the same position to keep GC process alive. I've got MCSD certificate and outgrew my position long ago. I cannot quit my job and found a new business.

H1B LUDs may be due to PIMS data collection, I heard most of the H1Bs approved after Jan 2004 had LUDs and the status did not change; and 140 could be a regular system touch.

It used to be required only for Mumbai Consulate. But I think Hyderabad has also started. Please check

1. Is it Ok to go a few days early to Dallas ASC for finger printing ? I won't be in town on the scheduled FP date and I am reluctant to reschedule.
2. Is there a time of day at Dallas ASC that is not so crowded, so that the ASC may not mind Walk ins ?

It turns out that it was the photos. I had already sent it. So, don't know why they are asking again. I am resending the photos now. I had a question. Though it is simple, I don't want to take any chances as we are planning a travel soon. They have asked me to write my name and Alien number on the back of the photo in pencil or felt pen. I tried writing using a pencil and it is not readable. So, what is a felt pen ? Is the idea here that whatever is written on the back of the photo should not leave an impression on the front of the photo. Thanks for your response.

I added my older H1b case too of Dec 01 (i hadn't added such old case to my portfolio..didn't see need) and that had a LUD of 10/13/07 maybe due to my submitted cases of 140/ead/ap/485. Those had a LUD on 10/16/07 with notice date of 10/12.

I entered into my 7th year few months ago and I have an approved I-140 and also 3 year extension.
I dont have any documents of my approved labour or I-140 and I dont expect to get it from my employer either.
Q1) In case I change my employer and go for stamping, will he ask me for any of the above documents as approved I-140 or Labour?
q2) In case I happen to start my GC process again( assuming in yr 2007 in EB3), will how long will it take ( approx) for my PD to become current ?
