If I understand you correctly, you were working for Employer A and he filed your Labor. You changed to employer B while labor was pending and started working for employer B on H1. Employer A continued to process your GC and you got it approved. If this is true, then you should immediately join employer A since your GC was approved through employer A.

I did the same this one month back. All you have to do is the letter to USCIS telling them that your attorney will not represent your case in future and please mail all the communication directly to my registered home address.
Send this letter to address mentioned in I-797 Notice of Reciept of I-485 with acknowledgement return address card.
Look for my previous post related to this and you will find the sample letter as well.

This question is specific to Indian nationals with children born in US.
Has anyone on H1 or pending 485 received OCI for their US born child? We were able to get OCI for our first child a few years ago but the rules seem to have changed and cgisf.org states that a child whose both parents are Indian citizens can't get OCI. Any ideas? Is PIO the right option now?

Thanks for bringing this up and highlighting the issue.
The below quoted estimate is when we are assuming a perfect world, however I believe it will take longer than this.
• There will be around 1Million AOS/I-485) applications by Aug 17 which will take 1M/140K = 7+ years to clear the backlog. Thus, late priority dates will remain retrogressed for several years.

This was the first thing I thought too but then if he can't maneuver within the menu doing a firmware update may be impossible.
I would try downloading the software update from nikon and reinstalling it to see what happens.. it is fairly simple.. there are "A" and a "B" programs that need to be loaded independently... the instructions on the site are straightforward... I have had D-70 since they came out and have had no problems.... If your local retailer will not stand behind the camera it seems nikon should... isn't there a year nikon warrenty?

Make sure you post all the required document 5 "working days" - If appointment is on monday then your papers should reach by Sat of previous week....
Appointment on 29th June means your papers should reach latest by 19th [4 days is for weekend and one day is overlap].....
I had a bad experience when I went for interview at Mumbai consulate - When I reached the office they told me my appointment has been cancelled reason - document did not reach as per the expected time....I had to spend 10 days to get the next appointment...It was not a problem for me as I am from Mumbai...
Make sure you reach atleast 2 hours before your appointment time. local hawaldars make a mess of people standing in queue...

I think its high time, we step in and say enough of this excessive outsourcing, India has created more than enough jobs in India, ecomomy has grown to a very good level.
There should be a Fair level playing field for everybody, unfortunately not only Americans, the very Indians, who have struggled countless hours and sacrificed so many things and made a mark in US with thier technological hardwork are loosing to this big outsourcing companies.
The very reason of initial H1B people coming to US, for a good standard of living is slowly being lost becuase of this excessive outsourcing.

American companies but foreign firms that want to move jobs out of the
United States. Seven of the 10 firms that requested the most H1-B visas in
2006 were outsourcing firms based in India, which use the visas to train
workers in the United States before they are rotated home, according to Ron
Hira, an engineer who teaches public policy at the Rochester Institute of
Technology. Indian outsourcing firms Wipro and Infosys were the two top
requestors of H1-B visas."

Hello..
My Visa get expire on Sept 2009. I want to travel india on month (June) and coming back on June. Do i need to stamp my visa for coming back?. Also My visa in the name of company A. and i left the company moved to company B and then Company C. Now my H1 is with company C and its valid till 2011 November. Can i use the same Visa for reentry to US when i am coming back on May/June. Please give your answers ASAP.

You can still re-enter on June 2009 using the company A's stamp that expires on September 2009. Please keep the necessary documentation (offer letter, I-129, paystubs etc) for employer B and C ... this may be necessary at the time of re-entry. it's disappointing that the sept vb movement was much smaller than expected (i fall in your g3m2 category) but the blessing in disguise is that it will make people believe the long term vision that IV has to pursue the fixes that will solve these problems for good and will help everyone irrespective of their category. hopefully more people will come forward and donate and join IV's hands on the grass root efforts.
Sept VB movement was small???? Didn't you notice EB3 Row moved 6 months, and EB4 ROW by about 1 year?
And NO movement for EB3-I.

Even with all pending I485s, USICS will not be able to predict yearly usuage or forward date movement with 10%-15% unpredictability or delay in FBI name-check. I expect upto 10% loss of annual visas every year.
It remains to be seen how many visas are lost in FY 2007 even though they say "Unavailable". I expect them to return those allocated visas to DOS for which they thought FBI checks will be over shortly. I am sure these visas will be lost yet again.

I am in the same suitation my wife wants to stay home for few years, currently she is on H1B and we are planning to convert to H4 . Why does one have to wait for a new H1B since she already had a H1B can't she get H1B any time without having to wait for the quota to open ?
